2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship Preview
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College captured the 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball regular season title officially on Friday (Feb. 23) night. The Saints will be the No. 1 seed in next week's Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship, it was determined last night after the conclusion of the season. Limestone finished the year 18-2 in Conference Carolinas action.
Belmont Abbey College wrapped up the season 16-4 and enter the championship as the No. 2 seed, while Barton College will be the No. 3 seed after finishing the season 15-5. King University earned the No. 4 seed and a home game with its 12-8 record.
Hitting the road for the quarterfinals will be No. 5 seed University of Mount Olive (10-10), No. 6 seed Lees-McRae College (7-13), No. 7 seed Erskine College (6-14) and No. 8 seed North Greenville University (6-14).
The 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinals will be held on the campus of the higher seed on Monday, Feb. 26. The semifinals and final will be played on the campus of the highest seed remaining after the quarterfinals on Mar. 1 and 2, respectively. The winner of the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship.
