Mount Olive's Ball Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive attack Jacob Ball has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 12-18, the Conference announced today. This marks Ball's second POTW honor and UMO's third overall of the season.

Ball, a senior from Newton, Conn., posted nine points (6g, 3a) and four ground balls on the week and led the No. 12 Trojans to a 3-0 record last week.

UMO picked up an 8-6 win over No. 19 UIndy to start the week with Ball registering four shots and one ground ball. He would notch three goals and one assist for four points with three ground balls in an 11-8 victory over Chowan. Ball would close out the week with five points on three goals and two assists in a 20-3 rout of Lees-McRae.

Ball currently has 33 points on 19 goals and 14 assists on the year. His assist total ranks first in Conference Carolinas, while his goals and points both rank third in the league.
