Lees-McRae and King Earn Bids to 2018 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College and King University both had its name called and earned bids to the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday (Mar. 4) night.
Lees-McRae enters the Southeast regional 23-8 and the recipient of an automatic qualifier after winning the 2018 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday (Mar. 4) afternoon. The Bobcats, who earned the No. 7 seed, will open the first round against No. 2 seed Queens University of Charlotte.
King (19-10) earned the No. 8 seed and will play No. 1 seed Lincoln Memorial University in the first round.
The Southeast regional will be played Mar. 10, 11 and 13 on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
