Mount Olive's Ferreira Named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Armando Ferreira was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, the Conference announced today.

Ferreira, a freshman from Brazil, picked up four combined wins in Conference Carolinas play last week to lead the Trojans to a pair of league wins. Against Chowan, he would collect an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, which was followed up by a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles. The week would conclude with a pair of wins against Erskine, as Ferreira posted an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles.

Chowan University:
No. 1 Singles - 6-4, 6-4
No. 1 Doubles - 8-6

Erskine College:
No. 1 Singles - 6-0, 6-4
No. 1 Doubles - 8-4
