Chowan's Novachuk Named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Polina Novachuk was named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, the Conference announced today.

Novachuk, a senior from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, collected six combined wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to lead Chowan to a 3-1 record as a team last week.

University of Mount Olive:
No. 1 Singles - 7-5, 2-6, 10-6
No. 1 Doubles - 8-3

Meredith College:
No. 1 Singles - 6-0, 6-0
No. 1 Doubles - 8-1

Florida Southern College:
No. 1 Singles - 1-6, 1-6
No. 1 Doubles - 3-8

Davis & Elkins College:
No. 1 Singles - 7-5, 4-6, 10-8
No. 1 Doubles - 8-3
