Chowan's Novachuk Named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University's Polina Novachuk was named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Apr. 2-8, the Conference announced today. This marks her fourth POTW honor of the season and Chowan's sixth straight.

A senior from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Novachuk posted a combined record of 5-1 at No. 1 singles and doubles in conference action last week. Her play paced the Hawks to three team wins and a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title.

Barton College:
No. 1 Singles - 6-3, 6-4
No. 1 Doubles - 4-8

Lees-McRae College:
No. 1 Singles - 6-3, 6-2
No. 1 Doubles - 8-3

King University:
No. 1 Singles - 6-0, 6-1
No. 1 Doubles - 8-0
