2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship Major Awards and Recap

SNOW HILL, N.C. – Limestone College took home the 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 17) afternoon. Limestone's Victoria Ross earned 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf medalist honors after shooting a three-round total of 224.

The Saints, who picked up their fourth Conference title in five years, shot 918 (+54) as a team to earn the victory. The victory earns Limestone an automatic to NCAA Regionals.

Ross led the championship wire-to-wire, shooting a 70 in the opening round, which was followed up with a second round 75. She would shoot a 79 to close out the championship and complete her quest for medalist honors.

The 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf major and all-conference awards were also announced during the final day of action. Headling the list was Ross of Limestone, as she earned Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Year. King University's Roxane Nataf was tabbed the Freshman of the Year, while Limestone's Zack Siefert was tabbed Coach of the Year.

Ross, a junior from Spring Grove, Pa., earns Golfer of the Year after collecting a pair of top-five finishes and a total of three top-10 placements. A two-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree, Ross was named the Conference Carolinas Bimonthly Golfer of the Month three times during her junior campaign.

Nataf, a native of Garches, France, earns Freshman of the Year honors after posting three top-10 finishes, including two top-five finishes.

Coach Siefert picks up his third Coach of the Year in five seasons, guiding the Saints to a tournament title at the Cutter Creek Invitational to start the season and a runner-up finish at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. Under his mentorship, Limestone placed a total of five golfers on the women’s All-Conference Carolinas team this year.

Joining Ross on the first team is Limestone teammates Reme Cortes and Pilar Martinez, Nicola Robertson of King and Julia Kaeding of University of Mount Olive.
