No. 1 Seed Limestone Wins 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Limestone College won the 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday (Apr. 27) afternoon with a win over No. 2 seed University of Mount Olive.
The Saints got out to an early lead and went into the half up 9-1. The Trojans would dominate the Saints in the second half, outscoring them 8-3 in the half. However, Limestone's early start would be the difference in the game, winning 12-9.
In addition, Courtney Lafler becomes the second women's lacrosse player in Division II history to record 100 goals in a season, while Limestone's Scott Tucker notched his 300th win with the Saints.
