Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets held March 26 - April 1, the Conference announced today.
A sophomore from Lichtenstein, Germany, Hanle produced another dominating performance this past weekend, this time in the 5000 meter run. Competing at Raleigh Relays, Hanle placed eighth overall and was the top Division II finisher after racing to an impressive time of 16:03.14. Her time is an automatic qualifier for the Division II national meet in May and currently leads the descending order list by a whopping 31 seconds. Hanle's time also broke her own school record in that event.
