Limestone's Brown and Gadsden Named Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's duo Zawadi Brown and Skyler Gadsden have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held Jan. 17 - Jan. 21, the Conference announced today.
Limestone senior Zawadi Brown had an impressive weekend in the sprints at the Gamecock Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina. Brown notched a first-place finish in the women's open 200m dash with a time of 24.65, setting a new school record and now holding the fastest time in Conference Carolinas for the 2018-19 indoor season. Brown went on to run a time of 7.58 seconds in the 60m dash to secure a 9th place finish and another top time in the conference. Sitting atop the conference charts in two sprinting events, Brown currently ranks top-10 in the NCAA Division II in both the 60m and 200m dashes.
Sophomore teammate Skyler Gadsden from Bonneau, S.C. also had a successful weekend at the Gamecock Invitational in the throws. Gadsden led the Saints with a first-place finish in the open division of the women's shot put with a mark of 12.34m (40' 6") to rank her second in the conference this season.

Cameron Davis (Belmont Abbey) - 1.53m (5' 0.25") high jump, 4th place; 4.86m (15' 11.5") long jump, 11th place
Princess Lea'E (Mount Olive) - 12.50m in shot put, 7th place
