2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Preview and Golfers to Watch
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf preseason poll has been released. Limestone College will enter the season as the favorite to win the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship, according to Conference Carolinas coaches.
1. Limestone College: The Saints topped the preseason poll by earning 10 first-place votes for 100 points from Conference coaches.
Limestone won the 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship, which earned it an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Super Regional Championship.
The Saints return four all-conference performers in Reme Cortes, Ebba Hellman, Pilar Martinez and Eleonor Skoog. Limestone will have the most potent lineup in Conference Carolinas, even with reigning Golfer of the Year Victoria Ross redshirting in 2019.

2. Converse College: The Valkyries nabbed 83 points and one first-place vote from Conference coaches. Converse finished seventh in last year's Women's Golf Championship.

3. University of Mount Olive: The Trojans enter this season ranked third with 77 points from Conference coaches. Mount Olive finished sixth-place in the 2018 Women's Golf Championship.

4. Erskine College: The Fleet are ranked fourth with 65 points from Conference coaches. Erskine posted a runner-up finish at last year's Women's Golf Championship.

5. Barton College: The Bulldogs narrowly rank fifth with 32 points from Conference coaches. Barton posted a third-place finish at the 2018 Women's Golf Championship.

6. North Greenville University: The Crusaders of North Greenville landed in sixth place with 55 points. North Greenville finished fourth at last year's Women's Golf Championship.

7. Belmont Abbey College: The Crusaders of Belmont Abbey landed in seventh-place with 46 points. Belmont Abbey finished fifth in last year's championship.

8. Southern Wesleyan University: The Warriors posted with 44 points from Conference coaches and enter 2019 ranked eighth. Southern Wesleyan collected a ninth-place finish last year at the Women's Golf Championship.

10. Emmanuel College: The Lions make their preseason poll debut in 10th with 21 points from Conference coaches.

11. Chowan University: The Hawks round out the preseason poll in 11th with 11 points.
Chowan turned in a 10th-place performance last year at the Women's Golf Championship.
