Sara Berglund of Mount Olive Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Sara Berglund of Mount Olive has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019.
A native of Borlaenge, Sweden, Berglund had two goals in two wins for Mount Olive last week. The junior scored one goal in Mount Olive’s 3-1 win at Barton on Oct. 16 before closing the week by netting the game-winning goal in overtime in a big conference victory over regionally-ranked North Greenville on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Berglund and Mount Olive are currently undefeated in conference play (7-0-0) and 9-0-1 overall. Berglund currently leads Conference Carolinas in assists with seven.
