King Takes Title at 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - KIng secured its first since 2014 and its fourth Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship overall on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019.
The Tornado emerged victorious with a score of 64 to narrowly hold off Erskine (70). King owned a team time average of 24:36 in the 6K Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship.
Leah Hanle of Mount Olive picked up her third Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship individual title with a time of 21:23.8.
King's Nathan Meeuwenberg was selected as the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, while Hanle took home Runner of the Year honors for the third time in her career. Erskine's Lizzie Naval was named Freshman of the Year. She finished fourth with a time of 23:32.2.
