Cassidy Bonito of Belmont Abbey Chosen Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Cassidy Bonito of Belmont Abbey has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019.
A setter out of Pompano Beach, Fla., Bonito averaged 9.89 assists, 3.22 digs, 2.00 kills and 1.11 aces per set last week. She averaged 10.14 assists per set in Belmont Abbey’s two conference matches last week. Bonito hit an impressive .325 on the week overall.
Bonito also had 10 service aces on the week, including six in a win over conference foe Converse. Overall in Belmont Abbey’s win over Converse, Bonito had 40 assists, 11 digs, six kills and six aces.
Bonito had 31 assists, 12 digs and seven kills in Belmont Abbey’s win over Mount Olive before closing out her efforts with 18 assists, six digs, five kills and three aces in a win over Savannah State. In Belmont Abbey’s tri-match sweep of Mount Olive and Savannah State on Saturday, Oct. 5, Bonito hit over .500 in both matches.
