Sean Halloran of Belmont Abbey Named Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Sean Halloran of Belmont Abbey has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The conference office made the official announcement on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.

A sophomore guard out of Orlando, Fla., Halloran helped lead Belmont Abbey to a 2-0 week by averaging 21.5 points, 7.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He shot a scorching 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field overall and a blistering 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from beyond the arc.

In Belmont Abbey’s 85-73 road win at Johnson C. Smith on Nov. 13, Halloran finished his efforts with 16 points and seven assists. In Belmont Abbey’s home win over Young Harris on Saturday, Nov. 16, Halloran finished with a career-best 27 points. He scored 20 of his 27 in the second half.
