Emmanuel and King to Meet in Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship Final on Sunday
BELMONT, N.C. - The 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship final will feature West No. 2 Emmanuel facing off against West No. 1 King at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Belmont Abbey.
King advanced to the final with a 3-0 sweep of East second-seeded Limestone in the first semifinal of the day. In the second semifinal, East No. 1 and tournament host Belmont Abbey was upset, 3-1, by West No. 2 Emmanuel.

West No. 1 King and Limestone started things off in the first set very close with the two teams trading leads four times and tying things up 12 times in the first set, but it was King that emerged with the 26-24 win in the set. King would control things from there with the Tornado taking a 25-17 win in the second set and a 25-14 win in the third set to complete the sweep.
Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year Julie Ward led all in the match with 15 kills and 19 digs. Tristyn Lozano had 12 kills and 10 digs. Vanessa Blas led Limestone in its loss with 10 kills.

Belmont Abbey started the match with a 25-18 win in the first set, but Emmanuel rallied to win the next three sets in dramatic fashion to earn the victory and advance to Sunday's championship.
Taylor Roberts led Emmanuel in its semifinal win with an impressive 13 blocks to go along with nine kills. Jessica Gray had 13 kills in the Emmanuel victory. Mackenzie Chrapliwy led Belmont Abbey with 12 kills and 10 digs. Andie Meredith had 10 kills for Belmont Abbey.
