BELMONT, N.C. - Emmanuel picked up a thrilling 3-2 five-set come-from-behind victory over King in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship final on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019.
The 3-2 win (19-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-11) over King in the final allowed Emmanuel to collect its second straight Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship title. The Lions earn the Conference Carolinas automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Tournament that will be officially unveiled at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 on NCAA.com.

King secured the win in sets one and two before Emmanual came roaring back. The Lions picked up wins in the next three sets to secure the championship title.
Three finished with double-digit kills for Emmanuel with Taylor Roberts leading the way 14. She also had five blocks. Jessica Gray had 13 kills, while Mia Cotton had 10 kills for Emmanuel. Tournament MVP Aysha Avery for Emmanuel had 19 digs, while Stephanie Hardy paced the Lion attack with 47 assists. Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year Julie Ward led King in its loss with 23 kills.
