Chowan's Toby Sims Named D2CCA All-American

POMONA, Calif. – On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released the Men's Soccer All-American Teams.

Earning a spot as a D2CCA Third Team All-American is Conference Carolinas Defender of the Year, Toby Sims. Sims becomes the second Chowan player in the DII era to be named a D2CCA All-American, joining career goal scorer Terell Williamson in 2014.

Sims was one of five players selected from the Super Region and the lone Conference Carolinas member to be selected. Sims, a junior from Tuxford, England, was also recently named United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) First Team All-Southeast Region along with his numerous postseason accolades thus far.

During the season, Sims scored seven goals and added two assists as a defender while aiding in five shutouts on the way to a Conference Carolinas Regular Season Championship.
