Mount Olive Claims Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship; Individual Awards and All-Conference Announced

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The 2018-19 Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship was held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. University of Mount Olive captured its sixth title in program history after posting a team score of 221.5 points.

University of Mount Olive's Johnny Middlebrooks earned the Track Athlete of the Year, while teammate Jay Hall took home Freshman of the Year

Barton College's Larry Russell Jr. earned his third straight Field Athlete of the Year.

Matt van Lierop of Mount Olive garnered Coach of the Year after leading the Trojans to the Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship.

New to the Conference Carolinas postseason award offering is the Elite 23 Award. The Elite 23 Award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 Award, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumlative GPA at their respective championship site. The inaugural winner for men's indoor track & field is North Greenville University's Zachary Delaney.
