North Greenville's Faile Named NCBWA Southeast Hitter of the Week
WINGATE, N.C. – North Greenville University's John Michael Faile has been named the NCBWA Southeast Hitter of the Week, as selected by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Faile, a freshman from Boiling Springs, S.C., had a monster week at the plate and led No. 9 North Greenville to a 2-1 record in a three-game series against No. 18 Nova Southeastern. Faile tallied six hits, including four extra base hits (3 HR, 1 2B), with 13 RBI and three runs scored. Faile registered at least four RBI in each game, but his best performance came in a 10-1 win over NSU in which he went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored.
