Converse's Kong Named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Converse College's Steffi Kong was named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 11-17, the Conference announced today.

Kong, a junior from Singapore, went a combined 2-0 last week and led the Valkyries to a 6-1 victory over Johnson C. Smith.

Johnson C. Smith University (6-1, W):
No. 1 Singles - 6-1, 6-1
No. 1 Doubles - 6-4

 

Also nominated for Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Grace McCartney (Barton) - Went a combined 2-0 (1-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
Iva Jankovic (Southern Wesleyan) - Went a combined 2-2 (1-1 singles, 1-1 doubles).
