Barton's Mandilaris Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College right side Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 18-24, the Conference announced today. This marks the second POTW for Mandilaris and fifth overall for Barton.
A junior from Chalkida, Greece, Mandilaris and the Bulldogs went 2-0 last week with wins over Mount Olive and Queens (NC). Mandilaris tallied 28 kills (4.00 k/s) on .362 hitting to go with 11 digs, five blocks and four aces for the week.
In a 3-1 win over Mount Olive, Mandilaris registered 18 kills on .382 hitting with four aces, three digs and one block. Mandilaris then posted 10 kills on .333 hitting with eight digs and four blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Queens (NC).
Mandilaris currently averages 3.88 kills per set on a .295 hitting percentage with 1.49 digs, .76 blocks and .53 aces per set. His kills and aces per set both rank second in Conference Carolinas.

Eric Visgitis (Mount Olive) - Averaged 2.21 kills per set on .386 hitting in three matches.
Drew Sims (Lees-McRae) - Averaged two kills per set on .250 hitting with 1.67 digs and .67 blocks per set in one match.
Aaron Campbell (North Greenville) - Averaged 3.10 kills per set on .348 hitting with one dig per set in three matches.
Geraldo Rivera (Limestone) - Averaged 3.22 kills per set on .209 hitting with 2.33 digs and .89 blocks per set in two matches.
