Limestone's Ouimet Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College attack Britannie Ouimet has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 18-24, the Conference announced today. This marks the first POTW for Ouimet and second overall for Limestone.
A sophomore from Westlock, Alberta, Ouimet led No. 11 Limestone to a 1-1 record last week after posting posted 13 points on seven goals and six assists with three draw controls and two ground balls on the week.
In a loss to then-No. 19 Tampa, Ouimet notched two goals and two assists for four points with two draw controls and one ground ball. In a 17-7 win over Embry-Riddle (FL), Ouimet registered nine points on five goals and four assists with a draw control and ground ball.
Ouimet currently ranks third in Conference Carolinas in both points (20) and assists (8), while she ranks seventh in goals (12).
Also nominated for Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Marin Felsoci (Belmont Abbey) - Posted 10 points on eight goals and two assists with 11 draw controls, seven ground balls and three caused turnovers in two games.
Jillian Chiesa (North Greenville) - Posted five points on five goals with 10 draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers in two games.
Kiara Burke (Mount Olive) - Posted four points on four goals with eight draw controls and one caused turnover in one game.
Kayli Ashenfelter (Barton) - Posted five points on five goals with three ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control in one game.
