Mount Olive's Adebisi Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive right side Iyanu Adebisi has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Mar. 4-10, the Conference announced today.
A sophomore from Ibadan, Nigeria, Adebisi hit .381 and missed a 20-kill match by one with his 19 kills. Adebisi would secure his first double-double of the season by registering 15 digs to go with two blocks and a service ace.
Adebisi currently averages 2.20 kills and 2.30 digs per set. His digs per set rank fifth in Conference Carolinas.
Also nominated for Men's Volleyball Player of the Week:
Don Thompson (Emmanuel) - Averaged 4.21 kills per set on .342 hitting with 1.14 digs and .64 blocks per set in three matches.
Jackson Gilbert (North Greenville) - Averaged three kills per set on .423 hitting in one match.
