Belmont Abbey's Felsoci Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College midfield Marin Felsoci has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 11-17, the Conference announced today.
Felsoci, a junior from Arvada, Colo., led Belmont Abbey to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins last week over Converse and Chowan. Felsoci netted 10 points all on goals with 14 draw controls and five ground balls last week.
Against Converse, Felsoci scored five goals and collected seven draws with four ground balls in the 16-4 victory. Felsoci would then score five more goals and notch seven more draws while scooping up one ground ball in a 19-3 win over Chowan.
Felsoci currently ranks second in Conference Carolinas in draw controls (50), while ranking third in goals (36), fourth in points (41) and seventh in ground balls (24).
Also nominated for Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Jordan Shughrue (Mount Olive) - Posted eight points on six goals and two assists in two games.
Courtney Lafler (Limestone) - Posted 11 points on nine goals and two assists in two games.
Rachel Kellogg (North Greenville) - Posted five points on five goals with 10 draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers in one game.
