Mount Olive's Ritter and Barton's Cunningham Named Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive's Celine Ritter and Barton College's Janae Cunningham have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held March 12-18, the Conference announced today.
Ritter, a sophomore from Roesrath, Germany, moved into third place all-time in the UMO record books in the 5000m while taking second in the event this past weekend at the Shamrock Invitational. Her time of 17:47.73, leads both the conference.
Barton's junior, Janae Cunningham, dominated the throws events this past Saturday at the Mary Washington Opener with three top three finishes in the hammer throw, shot put, and discuss. With marks of 129' 7" and 35' 1", Cunningham took second-place in both the women's hammer throw and shot put, respectively. Cunningham also placed third in the women's discus with a mark of 101' 7" and fourth in the javelin with a mark of 95' 9".

Jami Lewis (Southern Wesleyan) - 57.48 in 400m, 11th place; 3:53.42 in 4x400m relay, 8th place
Casandra Teasley (Emmanuel College) - 25.17 in 200m, 13th place
