Belmont Abbey's Blythe Named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College's Zachary Blythe was named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Mar. 11-17, the Conference announced today. This marks the first POTW for Blythe and second overall for Belmont Abbey.

Blythe, a junior from Fort Myers, Fla., went a combined 2-0 last week and led Belmont Abbey to a 6-1 team win over Barton in Conference Carolinas play.

Barton College (6-1, W):
No. 1 Singles - 6-4, 6-1
No. 1 Doubles - 7-6

 

Also nominated for Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Pablo Safont Ferrer (Mount Olive) - Went a combined 2-0 (1-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
Federico Garnier (Limestone) - Went a combined 2-1 (1-0 singles, 1-1 doubles).
Miodrag Popovic (Lees-McRae) - Went a combined 4-3 (3-1 singles, 1-2 doubles).
Alejandro Feliciano (King) - Went a combined 3-1 (2-0 singles, 1-1 doubles).
