Barton's Sanoja Named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College's Vanessa Sanoja was named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 25 - Mar. 3, the Conference announced today. This marks the first POTW for Sanoja and third overall for Barton.

Sanoja, a senior from Bolivar, Venezuela, went a combined 2-0 and led the Bulldogs to a 1-0 record last week.

Edinboro University (7-0, W):
No. 3 Singles - 6-2, 6-0
No. 2 Doubles - 6-2

 

Also nominated for Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Talia Semaan (Belmont Abbey) - Went a combined 1-0 (1-0 singles, 0-0 doubles).
Laura Aholu (Limestone) - Went a combined 2-2 (1-1 singles, 1-1 doubles).
Cynthia Carrier (Chowan) - Went a combined 1-1 (1-0 singles, 0-1 doubles).
Fantine Botella (Emmanuel) - Went a combined 2-0 (1-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
