Barton's Scarpa Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College attack Angelina Scarpa has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Mar. 25-31, the Conference announced today.
Scarpa, a sophomore from Hicksville, N.Y., led Barton to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins last week over Chowan and Emmanuel. Scarpa tallied 16 points on 12 goals and four assists with four ground balls and two caused turnovers in the games.
Scarpa started the week with seven points on five goals and two assists with three ground balls and one caused turnover in a 15-3 rout of Chowan. Scarpa closed out the week with nine points on seven goals and two assists with one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 17-5 win over Emmanuel.
Scarpa currently ranks second in Conference Carolinas in assist (27), while ranking fifth in points (61) and ninth in goals (34).

Victoria Orozco (Lees-McRae) - Posted three points on three goals in two games.
Tiana Machado (Emmanuel) - Posted 44 saves and 41.9% save percentage in three games.
Kylie Eastman (Belmont Abbey) - Posted nine points on eight goals and one assist in one game.
Courtney Lafler (Limestone) - Posted 12 points on 11 goals and one assist in two games.
Rachel Kellogg (North Greenville) - Posted 15 points on 15 goals with 14 draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers in two games.
