Limestone's Lafler Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfield Courtney Lafler has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 15-21, the Conference announced today. This marks the fourth POTW for Lafler and the fifth overall for Limestone.
A senior from Penn Yan, N.Y., Lafler led No. 13 Limestone to a Conference Carolinas regular season championship with a win over Emmanuel. Lafler broke the all-time Limestone goals record when she notched six goals in the 23-0 victory, while also tallying two assists for a total of eight points.
Lafler currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas in goals (85), while ranking second in points (106) and sixth in assists (21).
Also nominated for Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Katie Schlagenhauf (Erskine) - Posted 12 points on seven goals and five assists with 11 draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover in one game.
Kylie Eastman (Belmont Abbey) - Posted eight points on six goals and two assists with four ground balls, four draw controls and one caused turnover in one game.
Jackie Kaderabek (Mount Olive) - Posted 11 points on seven assists and four goals with two ground balls and two caused turnovers in two games.
