King's Christy Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University setter Chandler Christy has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played from Apr. 1-7, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Yucaipa, Calif., Christy led King to a share of the 2019 Conference Carolinas regular season championship by beating Barton and Mount Olive last week. Christy averaged 10.63 assists, 2.25 digs and .75 blocks per set in the two victories.
In a 3-1 win over Barton, Christy dished out 43 assists while tallying eight digs and three blocks in the win that would help clinch King a share of the regular season crown. Christy then helped secure the share of the title by dishing 42 assists with 10 digs for a double-double while adding three blocks and a service ace in a 3-1 win over Mount Olive.
Christy currently averages 8.93 assists and 1.54 digs per set. Christy's assists per set rank seventh in Conference Carolinas.

Jordan Barreto (Limestone) - Averaged 4.15 kills per set on .339 hitting with 2.15 digs per set in three matches. Posted one double-double.
Brennan Davis (Belmont Abbey) - Averaged 11.67 assists, 1.83 digs and one block per set in two matches.
Jackson Gilbert (North Greenville) - Averaged 3.80 kills, .80 service aces and .80 blocks per set in one match.
Alejandro Irizarry (Erskine) - Averaged 2.33 kills on .455 hitting with .67 blocks per set in one match.
