Belmont Abbey's Eastman Named Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Kylie Eastman has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Apr. 1-7, the Conference announced today. This marks the first POTW for Eastman and the second overall for Belmont Abbey.
A sophomore from Mechanicsville, Va., Eastman led Belmont Abbey to a 1-1 record last week in Conference Carolinas action against Limestone and Erskine. Eastman tallied 21 points on 15 goals and six assists with nine draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the games.
In a 17-12 loss to Limestone, Eastman collected 10 points with six goals and four assists to go with three draws, one ground ball and one caused turnover. Eastman then posted 11 points on nine goals and two assists with six draw, one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 26-16 win over Erskine.
Eastman currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas in points (99) and goals (67), while ranking second in assists (32).
Also nominated for Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Amy Pfefferkorn (Southern Wesleyan) - Posted five points on three assists and two goals in two games.
Abby Hope (Limestone) - Posted nine points on nine goals in two games.
Skye Bradley (Mount Olive) - Posted four points on two goals and two assists in two games.
Rachel Kellogg (North Greenville) - Posted eight points on seven goals and one assist with eight draw controls, five caused turnovers and three ground balls in one game.
