Limestone Wins 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship; All-Tournament Announced
HARTWELL, GA. – Limestone College took home the 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday (Apr. 9) afternoon. Limestone's Pilar Martinez earned 2019 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf medalist honors after shooting a three-round total of 224.
The Saints, who picked up their fifth Conference title in six years, shot 918 (+54) as a team to earn the victory. The win also earns Limestone an automatic bid to NCAA Regionals.
Martinez was tied for the lead after shooting a 72 in the opening round. Martinez would then drop to second-place following round two after firing a 78. Martinez would shoot a 74 to close out the championship and complete the comeback on her quest for medalist honors.
