Kaytlin Elkins of Barton Chosen Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Kaytlin Elkins of Barton has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019.
A junior outsider hitter out of Hope Mills, N.C., Elkins put together an incredibly impressive performance for Barton at the USC Aiken Invitational in Aiken, S.C.
In Barton’s two matches at the tournament, Elkins finished her efforts averaging 19 kills and 12.5 digs per match. She averaged 4.75 kills and 3.13 digs per set.
Elkins closed out Barton’s 3-2 win over Shorter with 27 kills and 15 digs. She also had three service aces. A 2018 first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and all-region choice, Elkins also had 11 kills and 10 digs in Barton’s match with Auburn Montgomery.
Elkins currently leads Conference Carolinas in kills per set (4.06).
