Jada Bacchus of Mount Olive Selected Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Jada Bacchus of Mount Olive has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The conference office made the official announcement on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020.
A redshirt senior guard out of Wilmington, N.C., Bacchus averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in two wins for Mount Olive last week. She shot 50 percent (19-of-38) from the field on the week.
Bacchus finished Mount Olive’s 73-67 win over Chowan on Jan. 8 with 23 points, five rebounds and two assists. She followed that up with a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Mount Olive’s 70-53 win over Lees-McRae on Jan. 11. She also had five assists and three steals in the Mount Olive victory.
