Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Heavily Featured in Off the Block Award Watch Lists
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball has been heavily featured in the Off the Block preseason Watch Lists for the 2020 NCAA Division I-II season.
Brennan Davis of Belmont Abbey, Oscar Fiorentino of Barton and Francisco Pomar of Erskine have been named to the Lloy Ball Award Watch List. The Lloy Ball Award is annually given to the nation’s best setter in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. The Lloy Ball Award is named after the former All-American at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and U.S. Men’s National Team gold medal-winning setter Lloy Ball.
Preseason All-American Angelos Mandilaris of Barton has been selected to the Bryan Ivie Award Watch List. The Bryan Ivie Award is named after the former USC All-American and U.S. Olympian.
Belmont Abbey’s Liam Maxwell and King’s Sean Kohlhase have been named to the Karch Kiraly Award Watch List. The Karch Kiraly Award is annually given to the nation’s best outside attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. The award is named after the former UCLA All-American and Olympic gold medalist Karch Kiraly.
Don Thompson of Emmanuel and Mount Olive’s Eric Visgitis have been tabbed to the Ryan Millar Award Watch List. The Ryan Millar Award is annually given to the nation’s best middle attacker in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. The Ryan Millar Award is named after the former BYU All-American and U.S. Olympian.
Michal Podgorzak of Limestone has been selected to the Erik Shoji Award Watch List. The Erik Shoji Award is annually given to the nation’s best libero in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball during the regular season. The award is named after the former Stanford All-American and current U.S. Men’s National Team libero.
The awards will be selected by a nationwide voting committee of college men’s volleyball coaches and media members.
