Joshua Faison and Daniel Francken of Mount Olive Pick Up Men’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Joshua Faison and Daniel Francken of Mount Olive have been selected as the Conference Carolinas Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. 

Faison was named the Field Athlete of the Week, while Francken earned Track Athlete of the Week honors. The league office made the official announcement on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020.

Faison took second in the shot put (15.00m) at the Finn Pincus Invitational. His effort is second-best in the league so far this indoor season. It is also second-best in Mount Olive history.

Francken posted the top time in Conference Carolinas so far in the 3,000m with a time of 8:43.80 at the Liberty Kickoff. The time allowed him to finish third in the event.

Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its early initial inception on Dec. 6, 1930. The NCAA Division II athletics conference presently has member schools located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
