Three Conference Carolinas Standouts Named Preseason All-Americans by NCBWA
PEMBROKE, N.C. - Three Conference Carolinas baseball players were chosen preseason All-Americans by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
In addition, Conference Carolinas preseason favorite and consensus national preseason top-10 team North Greenville was tabbed eighth nationally in the NCBWA preseason poll. Mount Olive just missed out on a top-25 spot, receiving a vote total that has them 26th nationally in the preseason poll and in the receiving votes category.
North Greenville sophomore catcher John Michael Faile was a first-team preseason All-American at catcher, while JT Stone of Mount Olive was tabbed to the third team at designated hitter. Joe Mason was a third team preseason All-American as a utility player.
