Nicola Macdonald of Barton Chosen Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Nicola Macdonald of Barton has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020. Macdonald has now claimed weekly honors from the league three times this season and six times in her career.
A junior from Durban, South Africa, Macdonald led the Bulldogs to a 146-115 dual meet victory over Lenoir-Rhyne last Saturday at the Harrison Family YMCA in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Macdonald won both the women's 100-yard (55:46) and 200-yard (2:02.40) freestyle events in addition to leading off the first-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:48.23).
