What is your hometown?
Gray, Tennessee
Why did you choose your school?
The campus size and atmosphere was a perfect fit for me. The had the sport I was looking for, the major I was interested in, and a close knit family that I could be a part of. King felt like home so it was a simple and easy pick for my undergraduate education.
How did you choose your major?
I am planning on becoming a physician assistant, so naturally Biology was my first choice. I was also interested in psychology and exercise science because of being an athlete, so I chose to minor in both.
What is your favorite class? Why?
Developmental Biology and Genetics! I am never bored and my mind is always blown by the complexity of our bodies. The inner workings of biology have always sparked my interest and keep me engaged.
What is your dream job?
Physician assistant.
What advice would you give to an incoming freshman?
Cherish you time on campus and get involved! Clubs and groups on campus are not something to put off until senior year! Get involved and make new connections!
How many years have you been involved with SAAC?
Four years.
What makes Conference Carolinas a great conference to be a part of?
The tightness of all the schools mixed with the health competition is the perfect combination for a conference. We help each other out by staying positive and always thinking to the future.
What does being a champion in Body, Mind, and Soul mean to you?
Being able to accomplish your individual goals and help others get to their goals as well. There is nothing more “champion-like" than someone who is humble and puts in hard work in their sport, with their relationships, and in their education.
What is the most important thing you have learned from balancing the demands of athletics and academics?
Stay organized and it’s never too early to get ahead. Staying on top of studies and asking for help early can benefit anyone in the long run.

I can braid hair really well.
