Barton Tabbed as Favorite in Women’s Swimming Preseason Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton has been tabbed as the preseason favorite in the 2020-21 Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimming Preseason Poll.
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on Dec. 1, 2020. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Barton received three first-place votes and a total of 33 points to claim the top spot in the preseason poll just ahead of two-time defending Emmanuel (27), who also collected three first-place votes. King was tabbed third with a total of 24 points. King picked up the final first-place vote. Lees-McRae (24) was just behind in fourth.
Chowan (17) was picked next in the poll followed by Converse (15) and Salem (8).
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Swimming Championships are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25-Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
