Belmont Abbey Tabbed as 2021 Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Favorite

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Belmont Abbey has been tabbed as the favorite in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
 
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on Dec. 15, 2020. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
 
Belmont Abbey received five first-place votes and a total of 35 points to secure the top spot. Mount Olive was right behind with 32 points. The Trojans collected the other two first-place votes.
 
North Greenville (26) was third in the preseason poll followed by Barton (20), Emmanuel (16), Lees-McRae (10) and Chowan (8).
 
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Championships get underway with first round play at higher seeds on Monday, April 19. The quarterfinals will be held at higher seeds one day later on Tuesday, April 20.
 
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s Lacrosse Championship semifinals (Thursday, April 22) and final (Saturday, April 24) will be held in Tigerville, South Carolina on the campus of North Greenville University.
