Mount Olive and North Greenville Share Top Spot in 2021 Baseball Preseason Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Perennial powers Mount Olive and North Greenville are tied atop the 2021 Conference Carolinas Baseball Preseason Poll.
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on Dec. 16, 2020. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Mount Olive and North Greenville both secured a total of 55 points in the preseason poll. The Trojans collected three first-place votes, while North Greenville picked up four first-place votes.
Belmont Abbey had one first-place vote and was third overall with a total of 46 points. Erskine (40) was fourth in the preseason poll and they were followed by King (39) and Barton (34). The Bulldogs picked up the final first-place vote in the preseason poll. Emmanuel (28), Chowan (17) and Southern Wesleyan (10) closed out the voting in the preseason poll.
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21-Sunday, April 25 at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, North Carolina.
