North Greenville Named Favorite in 2021 Softball Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – North Greenville has been chosen as the favorite in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Softball Preseason Poll.
 
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on Dec. 16, 2020. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
 
North Greenville narrowly held off King for the top spot in the preseason poll. Both had four first-place votes, but North Greenville collected 90 points to hold off King (88) by two points. Mount Olive was third with 82 points and two first-place votes. Southern Wesleyan earned the final first-place vote and a total of 72 points to sit fourth.
 
Emmanuel (61) was fifth in the poll and they were followed by Lees-McRae (54), Erskine (46), Belmont Abbey (44), Chowan (29), Barton (26) and Converse (13).
 
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship is scheduled for Thursday, April 22-Sunday, April 25 at Tyger River Park in Duncan, South Carolina.
