Mount Olive Named Favorite in 2021 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount Olive has been chosen as the favorite in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll.
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on Dec. 17, 2020. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Mount Olive will be looking for its ninth championship since 2009 at the 2021 Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Mount Olive collected six first-place votes and 78 points overall to secure the top spot. Southern Wesleyan was second with a total of 74 points. The Warriors picked up the final four first-place votes.
North Greenville (65) was third in the preseason poll and they were followed by Converse (58), Erskine (46), Lees-McRae (37), Emmanuel (33), Barton (26), King (18) and Belmont Abbey (15).
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24 in Mount Olive, North Carolina on the University of Mount Olive campus.
