What is your hometown?
Minaçu, Goiás, Brazil
Why did you choose your school?
Honestly, I chose my school because the first Skype I had with my coaches Kevin Coghill and Kourtney Chumbley.
How did you choose your major?
I chose my current major after I took my first Accounting class in my Sophomore year with a great Accounting Professor, Henry Singletary.
What is your favorite class? Why?
My favorite classes are the ones I feel like I am learning something practical. My most favorite classes so far have been Business Law and Financial Accounting, mainly because of the professors again.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to manage my own company or to be able to work in Wealth Management or any area in Finance that gives me experience and knowledge on managing the growth of money. Perhaps my dream outcome would be to be able to be in real estate and own buildings and houses and see families growing in the properties I own.
What advice would you give to an incoming freshman?
My first advice would be to put the work early on by reading the chapters assigned from their classes. My second would be to take the "harder" introduction classes that people tell us that is "impossible." I fell into this paradigm when people told me Accounting was impossible. It delayed my growth in the subject and delayed my love for the area.
How many years have you been involved with SAAC?
I have gratefully been in SAAC since my sophomore year after I completed the Odyssey Leadership Program.
What makes Conference Carolinas a great conference to be a part of?
The environment, and the similarities of the schools that are part of it. Professors and staff are extremely helpful and make the students feel welcome. Programs such as SAAC are taken seriously, which makes it even more special to participate in them.
What does being a Champion in Body, Mind, and Soul mean to you?
It means that we can pass any obstacles imposed in our lives if we dominate our three main components: Body, Mind, and Soul. When the body is not responding during a match or practice, we shall find that extra power within ourselves and move forward.
What is the most important thing you have learned from balancing the demands of athletics and academics?
By living outside our comfort zone throughout the different life in our first years at school, that same uncomfortable zone becomes the comfort one. We find pleasure in having a productive routine, and it is a very pleasant feeling.
What is your most memorable moment as a student-athlete so far?
The most memorable moment would be all the bus trips with my team during my sophomore year, the win over Limestone and Belmont Abbey on our Senior Day also during my sophomore year, and the final match I played during the Conference Tournament in Sumter, South Carolina.
One thing people don’t know about you is?
That I haven't been to my house and haven't seen my dogs since May 2019.
What is a non-athletic talent that you have?
That I can do awesome magic and mathematics tricks.
Favorite pump up song or music?
"Till I Collapse" by Eminem (ever), "Spirit Bird" by Xavier Rudd (chill)
