Makayla Willets of Lees-McRae Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Makayla Willets of Lees-McRae has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020.
A freshman midfielder from Mastic, N.Y., Willets finished two games last week for Lees-McRae with 10 goals and two assists for a total of 12 points.
Willets opened last week by finishing Lees-McRae’s road conference win at Southern Wesleyan with three goals and two assists. She also had four draw controls in the win. In Lees-McRae’s narrow loss at Mars Hill, Willets scored a program fourth-best seven goals. She had three draw controls in the game.
