Daniel Francken and Eian Hines of Mount Olive Earn Men’s Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Daniel Francken and Eian Hines of Mount Olive have been selected as the Conference Carolinas Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. Francken garnered Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Hines was named the Field Athlete of the Week.
Francken placed first in the Roanoke Invitational in the 5000m with a time of 15:47.27. The time is second-best in Conference Carolinas in 5000m on the season so far.
Hines took top honors in both the long jump and triple jump at the Roanoke Invitational. He set an NCAA provisional mark in the long jump at 7.20m. The mark is currently 18th-best in Division II and is the best on the year so far in Conference Carolinas.
