Marissa Stevenson of Barton Chosen Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

 

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Marissa Stevenson of Barton has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.

The conference office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020.

The senior from Kirk Michael, Isle of Man led Barton to a 4-3 victory over Methodist on Sunday, Feb. 2. Stevenson secured a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles with teammate Eimear Maher.

Stevenson also acquired a 6-2, 6-1 win over Abby Caddick at No. 1 singles.

Conference Carolinas has a rich tradition in roots that dates back to its early initial inception on Dec. 6, 1930. The NCAA Division II athletics conference presently has member schools located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
