Ashley Woods of King Chosen Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ashley Woods of King has been chosen as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020. Woods has now won the award twice in the 2019-20 season (Nov. 26 and Feb. 5).
A freshman from Keller, Texas, Woods set the school record in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:05.05. The time allowed her to take first place in a tri-meet with Union and Milligan. Woods also took first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:14.13.
Woods helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team finish first as well with a time of 3:48.73. The time allowed the relay team to claim first by nearly 10 seconds.
